I think I need to get a headlamp with a red setting. Thanks for the suggestion.Yes, if you use a red light at night with chickens they don't react like they do with a normal white light. They don't start jumping down or crowing like @RoyalChick hens. It makes it very easy to handle them. Most head lamps have a red setting.
It's a funny thing to know you are not being rational in your fears. It does not make them go away but it does keep you from acting foolishly based upon them.I'm sorry. Those are tricky thoughts.
It's good that you have labelled superstitious though.
That is why they live in flocks. The others will support and help her. She will listen if they alarm.I worry about Alpia. She is incredibly sweet but she is never flighty & so easy to handle it scares me. She should be much warier for her own safety but she just isn't!
Ouch!
Luckily, the mechanics are organising the tow, so it will only be $60.O that stinks. I guess it is gone completely. Sorry this has happened to you. What is the mileage on the car?
@RoyalChick. Bad news, it is a nor'easter coming up the coast and they have put us in the same band as you. CCCL and I will get it a little before you just before noon it looks tomorrow.I'll try and check. Maybe I can find out in between calls.
Having that local recommendation is everything. A good mechanic is like a vet that sees chickens. Hard to find and to be treasured. I hope they treat you well.Luckily, the mechanics are organising the tow, so it will only be $60.
I don't know the mileage. But its 9 years old. I know I've done nearly 9000kms since I bought it a year ago.
When I checked the level of fluid in the reservoir, I found the person who last serviced it hadn't put the lid on properly and also they had over filled the reservoir. So I'm wondering if they were maling future work for themselves.
I booked it in to a different mechanic shop, one that the licals swear by and it has a certification from the RAA.
There is nothing like an opening to talk about my cars! This is going to cost some chicken tax.
I own two Alfa Romeos. A 1985 Spider Veloce (come say hello to the nice people Juliet)

And a 2018 Giulia Quadrifoglio that took 2nd place at the 2019 AROC National Convention. (Say hi Giana.)

You need to meet Juliet. It will have to be in springtime now. She is going to be put away for the winter tonight.I've meet Giana, she's a beauty!!
Hmm I guess that previous mechanic might also have put a blockage in the line. Or neglected to flush it out properly.Luckily, the mechanics are organising the tow, so it will only be $60.
