Crossing the Road
That is quite a difference from us. 30 miles made a big difference in totals.
We had no mix, it was all solid snow and a LOT of it.

There is a table next to the rose bushes. You can see the snow piled up on that.
We had snow, then sleet and snow, then around 6 or so it stopped, and then by 10 pm it was sleeting again, and this morning when we got up we had gotten maybe 3 more inches of fluffy snow with a crust on top. It was pretty windy here so it has drifted a bit too.We had no mix, it was all solid snow and a LOT of it.
Wow!! And isn’t all of the space covered!?This is not real snowfall. Just what drifted into the runs. Not a chicken to be seen. Sensible ladies are keeping their feet nice and dry inside.

They need to be careful of that.. a friend of mine lost a most gorgeous and sweet rooster by doing that and falling in head first, getting trapped and suffocatingI love the strategy of eating out of the top of the food bucket!
Oh wow! So gorgeous!!!!We got about 9 inches. It's still only 17 degrees here! I decided not let my chickens out into their uncovered run bc I was afraid they'd get stuckthey aren't fond of snow anyway.View attachment 2452748
