I’m a bit concerned about Tegan’s comb, at first I thought it was dirty but now I’m not sure. Can chooks get fungal infections on their combs? Can anyone tell me what they think this is?

Hmm that does look odd. I would imagine they can get fungal infections too. Do you have any fungal cream on hand, like for athletes foot?

Josh is here!!

He rode 2+ hours in a car ride to be shuffled to a new house and he is just the sweetest boy!

He's rocking the boots with da fur!! He's already walking (a few steps) and using the litter box. He's already purring when I walk in the room too.

Several years ago, I was in panic over one hen's comb turning black. I brought my hen to the attention of BYC forums, and was told "This looks like mud" So I gave her a good scrubbing, and yes it was mud. (Only mud) I was so embarrassed and everyone on the threads I was posting, got a good laugh. (Problem solved). But your hen's comb doesn't look like my hen did.

Thank you! I just felt drawn to him when I saw him. He was born not far from where I live as a barn cat and he really deserves better.

Ahhh, I missed fluffy butt Friday
Instead I’ll give 3 pics.
First is of the ladies doing a good job of demolishing a tin of sardines together this morning (Snow got a few pecks from Bok once it was down to scraps)
The second is from yesterday afternoon with Bok digging a good old hole and the young ones cleaning up anything interesting that she kicked out
They are getting along so well so far, fingers crossed it continues. Snow actually made a few chicken sounds earlier, not just the ‘peep peep peep’

I feel like such a fool.

Don't worry about it Bob. We all get caught out now and then, and anyway, it was still interesting learning a bit about racing pigeons!

Ok, yet another baby goat post... she’s at least 7 days old and trying to eat everything, especially plastic, paper, and metals. She licks at the cat dishes and tonight was all up in my face as we were trying to eat dinner. I hope she isn’t too young for it, it’s sort of a grain? You guessed it! Spaghetti. She loves it. If it doesn’t upset her tummy too much I may have a new training technique...

No tax required for last post. Not that we don't love photos.

Surely we require Goat Tax?

I do have some Canestan. I could perhaps give her comb a wipe down and then put some Canestan on it.
