Good morning everyone, we are up to 3 chicks with another one just starting to pip. I'm going to say it, you all wishing for snow are crazy. I hate snow, and have about 1/2 inch on the ground right now. Woke up yesterday morning to 1 1/2 inches but thankfully most of it melted during the day. My chickens though, love the white junk especially the Marans. The only one who feels like me about snow is Momma Hen. She went on strike yesterday and only came off her perch throughout the day long enough to eat and drink and right back up she went. A hen after my own heart. I'll post pics later today of the chicks, have to get ready to leave soon to go pick up one of the dogs from the vet. Our lab x Malamute got spayed yesterday, which means a week of keeping her calm. Not going to be fun as she loves snow as well and is going to complain about not being allowed out to roll and sleep in it.

This has the potential to be a big one. That is a loooong time for snow to be falling. Of course, it could just go away as well. It's still early to be projecting.

Agree - although it moved from 50% probability to 80% over night. So I am thinking it will be real.

Indeed! The 15" we got in December was just a taste. I'm ready for a good ole Noreaster to set up and drop 2' plus of snow.

Pictures of the new chicks when you get back, please. None of my chickens like snow. My leghorns used to love it but I think that is because they were camouflaged by it!
