Hold on, is Dotty a Crested Cream Legbar? She looks just like my Pecan and is clearly equally bonkers!

Yes! Both Dotty and Minnie are Crested Cream Legbars and they both fly a lot and are total nut jobs.
I adore them.

I have two (as you'll see by my signature) and as with yours, they're both totally mad. Hazel adores one of my other girls - the alpha hen, called Tansy. I think Tansy rather likes the attentio. The other, Pecan, is really tame and has the craziest habits. Whenever she hears the back door open or close she's over in a flash and is always the one that comes flying out of the coop in a literal sense!

Yup flying out of the coop is definitely their thing! Both Dotty and Minnie routinely fly out while I am still standing in the door way so I get body slammed if I don't duck or move aside fast.

Is that today that she is out on the porch? I am back in full on blizzard conditions so weighing up whether to wade, slide, dig my way through it as they likely won't venture out anyway. Is the storm back with you and @CrazyChookChookLady also?
