THIS.Here here.
I also think we need to find ways to tell people they're misinformed. If you want that message to get through, you must speak it with kindness and perhaps even flattery so the person who's learned something incorrect can open their mind to the possibility of someone on the web having duped them.
I think so, too. Their double barring will show up with their first real feathers, I believe. Or does that not show until their full size feathers come in?Alex, are you okay with cockerels? Because those are very large white spots on their heads. I could be wrong. I've never actually done chicks but BRs are a sexed breed & the large white spot is supposed to indicate a male.
Hi Mary!
Yes, Bridge is a big girl. Ester... not so much. She’s tiny, her feathers look WAY different from Bridge, her feet look white, and her eggs are almost white. I hope her genetics are OK.True BRs are dual purpose and hence big ladies. I doubt any of yours are "overweight".
Yes, and she is a comedienne!Beautiful! Oh my! You also have a crested Phyllis?!
That's awesome! I'm glad for you.Yes, on the weekends. And I have two three-day weekends coming up!
I did. I can't be certain if it helped or not because I was unwilling to risk that beautiful comb. I only did it when the temp approached or went below 0°F.That is indeed a stunning comb!
That is very helpful information - so did you routinely Vaseline her comb when it got that cold?
