OK - I could give them corn - they love corn on the cob. They really don't love 'mushy' food - but I can try for sure.

The first time I did a wet feed they weren't crazy for it either. I sprinkled some cracked corn on top and that helped. I also use very warm, almost hot water to soften the pellets quickly. They seem to like warm wet feed over cold wet feed.

I really feel the Princesses will do just fine. They are all a good weight with good feather cover and have more then adequate food, water, and shelter.

Well, I had an ink and wash class today. I am definitely not an artist...yet, but I have high hopes.

Some of my ink blots made me think of flying feathers, so a made a tribute to moulting.

I intend to draw lots of chickens for the rest of the year until I'm happy with them! 😁
I love it!

OK so I should stop worrying as it is 'only' going down to 7°F?
Essentially. I am pretty certain they will be fine.

As I remember you flocks combs, none of them are overly large. I never put Vaseline on Patsy's comb even though I did Daisy's, the greatest hen ever. Patsy never lost any comb to below 0°F temps, nor did Lilly. I am debating Hattie's but it is not much bigger than Patsy's. Daisy's comb was enormous.

Frankly after I put this collage together, I don't plan to even do Hattie's comb. Its smaller than Patsy's.
