I have a feeling we have similar but not identical mugs. That's kind of you Bob.
What I would really like to paint is an untidy chicken like the one on...MJ's or RC's? mug.
Sorry, I can't remember who it belongs to.![]()
Don’t be so surprised, you brought the killer corn to life! Do you have the phone number for a local exorcist?
I just love this mug.

OK probably need to read ahead, but high amounts of moisture have to be able to precipitate out as frost on flesh to cause frostbite. That can happen only if the ventilation is poor and the temperature is very low. Vaseline might or might not help, the theory is that the oil prevents the contact of water on flesh, but I'm not sure it would necessarily prevent frostbite because oil gets cold too. Does it have insulation value? I'm a newbie at this, but I would have concern for the comb and wattles skin needing to be dry, and not being able to evaporate away the moisture actually coming out of the skin because it's coated with oil. I don't know. From the videos @BY Bob posts, you can always see some air moving dust motes, feathers, or a bit of snowflakes around. I don't think he has anything to worry about, but @BY Bob have you had incidents of frostbite?Oh boy. I have read conflicting views on Vaseline and frostbite and no peer reviewed or even veterinarian articles.
I am wondering what to do. I could bring them in to the garage although navigating the snow mountain with a chicken in each arm feels a bit perilous. I could put in a space heater for the night - I am not too worried about humidity as it is very dry and there is oodles of ventilation - but I don't think it will make much difference unless they are right under it and I don't think that would be safe - I would only dare set it up in the servant's quarters where there is a real floor.
I can see myself spending the night ferrying hot-water bottles out to the Palace, or microwaving little hats to keep their combs warm.
On the other hand there is a guy here who had temperatures of -30 and his were doing just fine without heat.
Hmmm.
Wow, this is fantastic!I'm sorry I had to. I read the entire 3000+ thread Backyard Bob. Anyways, I'm not planning on being a frequent poster, but I thought you would enjoy this. Your first fan art!
