Daisy, the greatest hen ever, was also a messy eater. Maybe it's a leghorn thing?

Look at that fancy lady with her "crystal" goblet! Pity she doesn't have the table manners to go with it!

My other girls also dig through the feed too, but Tsuki is a much more "energetic" eater. Maybe it is a Leghorn thing.

Everything which is born dies. Living with love, courage and respectfulness in the meantime is what counts :) my old dad wasn't afraid when his turn came. He showed such a lot of quiet dignity and courage during his palliative care. I hope I can live up to his example when my turn comes.

I think that's something everyone should aspire to MJ. Thanks for putting it so well. :)

It’s about 31 degrees Celsius where we live (which is right on the lake). Where we picked up the bales (about 15 mins drive) it was 41 degrees! :thNot getting as badly smashed as @MaryJanet is, but still.

My husband walked by earlier today and told me the hottest temperature on Earth for today was in Penrith, just down the mountain from us. 48.9C (120F) just before 4pm

We had a thick blanket of smoke envelope us with the Southerly coming through about 20 minutes ago. :( I had the the girls in the old henhouse with the extra window to let the heat out but swapped them to the new house so they didn’t get so much smoky air passing through.
