I'd be careful saying that. Talk like that may turn all 5 into boys on you.I swear by everything true, that if these little brats don’t give me eggs someday, I’m going back to eating chicken again!!!
Oh, that is wonderful! Well, maybe not from your POV, but a fantastic picture & so chickeny!Pro tree hugging action from Tribe 2. All nine are up there somewhere.

Ahhh, NO. run away, run away!I'd be careful saying that. Talk like that may turn all 5 into boys on you.
Does BLU know yet? Did he see that picture? Do you think BLU will spill the beans once he gets in touch with Phyllis on Beakbook? Bob will be in heaps of trouble. Wow there's a lot of intrigue here on BYC, I had no idea.I haven't heard from Phyllis, since last week, on Hen-A-Gram. So your secret is safe with me.
Ok. That's good to know. I'll make it so boxes can be divided if necessary. It will seem like a good idea until you have seen the pecking order enforced while in the nesting box. I used to have a slanted panel between my boxes until I saw Aurora pecking at Sydney while they were both laying eggs. Then I walled it off to stop that.
Of course mine are the nastiest hens here so you may not have that problem.
I've noticed hens develop very strong habits. My nest box in the run has gotten no use at all since I built it. They would still rather fight over the original 2 boxes.![]()
