How many lavenders did you promise your child? Are they likely to be swayed by looking at fetching pictures of blue Marans? There may be room for negotiation.I've kept in touch through facebook with the breeder of my original Marans. He just gave me a heads up that he loaded his incubator up last week about 80 eggs. 2/3 of them should be blues, with the possibilities of splash as well. Why did I promise my child Lavenders. If it wasn't for that promise I'd be first in line for blues as well as 1 or 2 splash chicks just for fun. I can make room for the lavenders, but adding all 3 colors is just not possible at this time.![]()
Eve gets down on their level too. She's a natural Bob! She'll be an animal whisperer in no time.Chicken Tax (Also originally posted on @Ribh )
Eve was so good with the cats, we decided she could be trusted with a "bok bok". She had me carrying her around the house so she could see all the "bok bok" pictures. So Phyllis volunteered to come in and meet her.

How about some free range time together?
She has such a gentle way for such a young child. It was tough circumstances for them but we got a great visit out of it.
Promised 3 to 4. Going to get about a dozen hatching eggs later on in the spring. Just have to pray for a good hatch rate, and mostly girls. Not to much to ask for right lol. And nope, comprises can't be made, at least not this year. She has fallen in love with the look of lavenders and wants them. Told me I can add blues next year. How many lavenders did you promise your child? Are they likely to be swayed by looking at fetching pictures of blue Marans? There may be room for negotiation.

Oh. My. So. Precious! “Tank you! Welcome!”Eve's Adventures (originally posted on @Ribh thread)
Eve has left us tho return home to her Dad. We had a wonderful visit. The Wombat books were a big hit as always. I read and read them. Thanks so much @LozzyR
Since it's Caturday let's see how the cats did with her.
Davis tends to hide when any strangers come to the house, especially small children. Isabel is pretty good with people overall. I figured we would not see Davis at all. I was very wrong.
He was extremely tolerant of Eve and for her part, Eve was very good with both of them. No grabbing, no fur pulling. In fact she was so good it would give me confidence to try something else before she left. Here is Eve with the kitties.
Her and Isabel spent time crawling around together.

The fellow in that ad that someone linked that had an Emu in it pronounced it "Eee-moo".
I bet part of hubby's motivation was he needed somewhere to hang that elk horn.A little sunshine for my American friends.
The truly observant may notice a lenth of wire has gone up round the fencing.

Now you know better and can educate all and sundry! I bet you use the word "Emu" constantly over there.Oh my gosh! I’m been one of those incorrect pronunciators!
