Thank you Bob. Then my deepest apologies to @featherhead007 .This was joking all the way around, although Mrs BY Bob does love Polish hens. Your comment was taken as such. Nothing to worry about.
I always put it on the ground for them. I would grow it in a 9x9 pan. It was fun watching them..graze on it.I did that once. I had to hold handfuls tightly in my fist so they could peck small bits off. I wasn't quick enough to extend the green leaves out more.
Frustrated hens peck hard!
YepDoes anyone else with pre-laying pullets go down paranoid rabbit holes of reading about hackle feathers or is it just me...?![]()
So sorry..Sadly she didn't make it overnight, Shad. Ceres will be going to the Vet on her own. She's doing much better but I'm not happy about her @ all. I suspect a number of different things went wrong all @ once. I've only got 2 of them.
They're starting to look like chickens! Pretty.
Some serious stare down on that first one!Mugs Monday (before I forget, and I’ve been saving these!)

I swear by electrolytes.Yes, it is. Sorry, I did mean to say Amprolium. I like to keep baby bird formula on hand, as well as poultry vitamins for times of crisis. How is she doing?
