That is a wonderful Hattie shot!

She is very photogenic. I always thought she would be my first broody. I imagine that's what she would look like.

I'm actually surprised she hasn't. Orps are supposed to be one of the broodier breeds ~ but then so are Wyandottes & I can't see Sansa going broody any time soon!

In order to be a good parent you need to think of others, Sansa thinks only of Sansa.

I never thought that Maleficent would be my first but I did seriously consider that Sydney would. If Hattie ever does go broody maybe I'll get her some polish eggs. Hattie with Polish chicks would make for hysterical photos.

Neighbor update: she’s stable in hospital, but only relatives are in Utah . I’m flying out tomorrow morning to get her cousin. And bring her here. I’m sure that any of you would do the same. Never thought I would love someone so much to risk a flight over the Rockies, but I do, and I will!
God himself will reward me someday!

I get it. PNG has some of the worst anywhere & lots of our pilots get their hours up flying in & out of the mountain airstrips.. Wait for that clear weather window & take no risks. Prayer can do.
