I think it may be a full month. I have no idea, but judging by the recipes I was looking at, eating seems to be involved. How does one celebrate the day?

No, I was on-line, I have been busy outside for the last 2 months. I moved the blueberries and turned raised bed #1( I had to climb up and stand on the top of the bed to turn it.) Cleaned up all of the herb beds, & added compost and Dr. Earth to the all. We built another concrete block garden bed. Both are 26 feet by 4 feet and we made a new asparagus bed and potato bed. The wood we had used 9 years ago finally rotted out. I got all of the garden veggies direct seeded, the turnips and radishes have sprouted and I noticed this morning the kale is a go~ the peas too are sprouting. I have tomatoes and chilies & squash started in the greenhouse.I thought we hadn't seen you for a while. Welcome back!
Oh how awful and poor Morgan that is so hard at that age. I am glad she was able to talk it through with her Dad and so glad Goldie could provide some chicken therapy.Thats is Goldie, but Morgan is holding her.
There was a terrible tragedy locally last week. During a house fire a 13 year old girl was killed. That girl was one of Morgan's best friends.
Morgan has been having a bit of a rough go with it and couldn't wait to be with her dad to talk about it. After they talked she went down and caught Goldie for a little chicken therapy.
All you have to do is miss one post notification & then you don't get anymore until you visit that thread, unless someone is responding to something you've posted. Hope this helps.Ok, so odd, I "watch" this thread but I haven't been getting notifications of current posts???? How come?
I hope this continues Bob...I know how much it has bothered you!Spring has Sprung
Spring has truly arrived here. I was out in short sleeves today! Of course, it probably snowed at @RoyalChick place today, NJ is a strange place.
We decided to have lunch outside. Sydney decided that my sandwich looked too good to wait for scraps. She channeled her inner Daisy, the greatest hen ever, and onto the table she jumped. Check out my little raptor poised to strike at my sandwich.

One of the things I have been struggling to achieve with Sydney was to be allowed to touch her. I can touch everyone else except Aurora. So instead of shooing her off of the table I decided to try and hold her at bay with the back of my hand. To do so would require me to touch her. If she did not like it she could leave.

Well she was more than willing to key me touch her as you can see. If fact at times it became a little desperate but I managed to eat my sandwich although I did share it with her. She eventually jumped down on her own.
The real test came later in the evening. Sydney popped up next to me on the patio furniture.
I had no food for her.
Slowly I resched out the back of my hand.
She looked me in the eye.
I brushed her chest.
She kept staring me in the eyes.
I brushed her side.
No reaction.
I did not push my luck. It feels like we may have a breakthrough. I will attempt reinforce tomorrow but it is very exciting! It almost cost me a sandwich bit it was worth it.
By the way, Hattie is way more polite when begging food.
