I agree. They aren’t livestock to me, they are my pets.
Hubby and I just buried Dorothy today. I found her dead in the coop under the roost. I have no idea what happened. I examined her and she is perfectly normal except she is dead.
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I walked in the coop and saw her lying there.
As you can imagine I am really depressed.
She was going to be a year old in May. :(

Australian Medicare is fantastic. I don't bother with health insurance at all, it's not worth it.
I thought that too, until I saw how much my son’s birth cost. 😳 We feel we’re less of a burden on the public system it we have private insurance. Yes we pay our Medicare levy but every bit helps I think. Plus the out-of-pocket gap on physio and optical could be a bit smaller! :barnie

A stroke..oh no. We have a daughter that had a stroke after having her last baby. They call her a miracle gal. It was serious. Had to do therapy for a couple of years. She's doing great now! We call her our miracle. It was a bad one. Neurologist's can't believe she's walking, talking, driving..it's all good.
That’s so scary! I’m so glad she recovered. :hugs
