Any ideas why Belle isn’t digesting grass properly?
I’ve had more of the full grass like poops from her, but not combined with the excessive water drinking.
She seems fine in all other ways, eating fine, active, doing chickeny things, crop full at night and empty in the morning.
I’ve recently gotten granite grit I had in a feeder so this afternoon I scattered a fair bit in the run incase she needs more and gets more into her that way :barnie

I would love to ignore it because other than the poop she is absolutely normal, but I can’t stop considering the options of what’s going on :he
My guess would be access to grit. I would think that providing her with access to a reliable grit source would solve the issue.

Do you guys remember that video of the new tsc chick brooder system that Gold Shaw Farm showed (that I ended up deleting)?
Well, he continued to investigate and now they have gone back to their old system of the ‘bins’ after a lot of reports against the tower brooder system and the welfare of the chicks.
I saw they took them out of our store and wondered.

Piscia 🥰 I don’t have a black hen but I adore them!!!
When its possible in the future for you to add another chicken or two, you need at least 1 black hen or rooster. I adore mine and they are not just simply black. Get one out in the sunlight and you can loose yourself looking at all the different sheens coming off their feathers. Depending on time of day and lighting I've caught blue, green and purple mixed in with my girls feathers. If we only count adults I'm up to 8 black chickens, 6 of them hens.
Here's Bunny showing off her rich coloring. Oh and not sure about other breeds, but my Marans have a different feel to their feathers. Its like rubbing silk or satin.

I don't fly, I passenger though.

I'm not judging, just poking at your choice of language. I am certain that you are able to fly safely and apologize for upsetting you. That was not and never is my intent.
Bob, I know. And you have nothing but good intentions. My pride was hurt. I still think I’m the best at low flying reconnaissance anyone in Central Valley has ever seen. (That’s why I was chosen over thirty pilots here) I need to just drop the toxic pride and listen to my friends. I’m very sorry @BY Bob

There is nothing to apologize for. Simple misunderstanding. It can be an unfortunate byproduct of not having a conversation in person. I have no doubt that you are an excellent pilot.
