Are there any posts I can link to this couple with a little one who really wants to own a few chickens. They been told that chickens are bad to have around small children. They were also worried about red mites but I've given them my solution on that one. So that's not a worry. They bring this subject everytime I see them, so it's just a matter of time I'm thinking. :hmm
I've read that orpingtons are good family chickens.
However, I'm so new to all of this, it's best to rely on the more experienced folks here.

Sorry can't help - but you could show them some of the lovely pictures and video of Bob's little granddaughter Evie with Phyllis (assuming he doesn't mind).

I'm just a learner gulp. I'm trying to teach but it's hard when you haven't passed your test :rolleyes:

I've been recommending bantams because mine have been just perfect, well almost they certainly have given me the runaround :wee. Especially my little flexy poop
