Cats are so surprising.
Mine did the same I was shocked to see how my laid back placid boy turned fierce in seconds. Then he lets the girls boss him around.

Cats are not all baddies to chickens, get one small, and they sort of bond ,at a distance. Low and behold another cat or predator coming near my girls ,he's there like a shot

Happy to be at the end of the day. Our ladies have been going to bed weirdly early. One day the weather wasn't great, but the other two days it has been sunny, I can only assume it is because Rosie is broody and she usually decides such things.

I was woken up at 4:00am because my husband’s alarm went off. He had set it awhile back to schedule his COVID shot. Somehow it must have copied over to another day or something.

Well that stinks. Mrs BY Bob does that all the time. Her phone goes off at all kinds of weird times.

The thing about little Xzit, is I had a talk with her about how scared I was, and thought I lost her that evening, but yesterday she stayed with the group, and went back into the coop, when I called all the birds in last night! Maybe she learned something ?

I'm sure she understood your talk and cares so much about you that she did not want to cause you any needless anxiety.
