No... that is their yard... the coop/run stays completely dry... except for maybe a little puddling around the edges... but only in spots... I tell you.. I picked the most perfect spot on my property to build the coop!

Notice the babies chilling in the corner... 💕View attachment 2666998View attachment 2666999
That is pretty darn dry with all that rain. That is a good build. 👍

I had to bring Emily in for a bath. She’s not feeling well today, and a soak bath in Epsom salt, usually helps me. (But I don’t lay eggs) she usually does. Dried her off, and gave her a can of tuna. She’s back in with Jaffar now. And eating feed with the rest of the chickens.
Any idea why she is feeling down?

So glad they have a nice dry place, and I like your set up for them a lot.
I see you hang some food containers and have others up on blocks. I am playing around with that at the moment - which works best for you?
I was doing blocks but someone (I am looking at you Diana) seems to have developed a habit of knocking them off the blocks so now I am wondering about hanging - I am a bit worried the container will get a big swing to it and knock someone silly by hitting them on the head.
Trust me, my Princesses are silly enough without being hit in the head by a swinging feeder. :lau
Any advice?
I've done both but no one gets hit with my swinging cabbage so I think it is safe.

SHRA tax coming today!
Hazel this morning!

It is interesting to see Elizabeth get up onto Diana. Sydney will submit to Aurora the same way and I have seen Aurora, but no one else not even Sansa, do the same.

I'm not sure but I think one of the roadrunner may have actually chested Elizabeth enough that she lost her balance and had to get off Diana. It was almost like the roadrunners were there in support of Diana not to just watch.
Oh I will watch again for that - there was so much going on I may have missed that. I wonder if a 'palace coup' is underway to try and oust Elizabeth from her throne.

I definitely have a naughty girl - she is the one that locked her beak around my fingers because I wasn't dolling out blueberries fast enough and she hung there from my hand. It hurt!
Have been meaning to say that Sydney has started doing this when I give them walnuts. I have had many a finger surrounded by beak recently.

Yesterday was not the best of days. I was rear-ended. I'm pretty much ok, stiff, sore, and brushed today. I am waiting on CT scan for my neck as a precaution because of the cyst I have on my spinal cord.

I was only 5 miles from my house so the police let me drive it home to save a tow bill.

The police were there because what initiated the crash was a postal worker delivering mail. She went to pull away from the mailbox and did not see the guy in front of me. He could not go around her because of the oncoming traffic.

I saw all this and stopped safely behind the guy in front of me. Suddenly I feel the impact and hear glass shatter as I'm pushed into the guy in front.

The kicker to all this is postal worker refused to give her information and left the scene. While she was not hit, she was at the very least a witness and needed to stay or give her info.

After the police finished with the 3 of us they were heading to the post office to find her and talk to her.

The guy in front of me only had a small scuff mark of his trunk where I was pushed I to him. I was the cream filling in a car sandwich.
Oh, wow. Glad you are ok.
