This is California. The majority of us here, live on junk food (don’t bite my head off, there are exceptions) :old :D
I DEEPLY apologize if you feel my mentioning I give my flock greens was "biting your head off" I shall do better at my replies, good day to you

Not about you giving greens. ( I meant Californians who would take offense to my statement) it wasn’t at all about you. Sorry.

You must show us the improvements. My run is just soaked right now. The ladies are either under the house or in the coop.
Well I don't have much to show for it as it is all underground. But basically I have sunk corrugated drainage pipe connected to existing PVC outlets so they more clearly bypass the Chicken Palace. The problem was that the current outlets 'burst their banks' and did so relatively high up the hill and too close to the Chicken Palace.
I have done much of it but have more to do.
Of course the chickens enjoyed helping me dig trenches and clever girls found an old rusty horse shoe!

Okay, today I’m cutting back on the treats for the chickens. No steak today. And Emily won’t be getting her morning hotdog 🌭 but they have a grapevine to ravage (and they do) !
They will have watermelon, ears of corn 🌽, and meally worms. Probably some pasta later today, (because I’m making it for lunch) I put fresh feed out for them and a bowl of safflower seeds mixed with black oil sunflower seeds.
(A can of fancy albacore might be too much today)
I think meat may be OK - mealy worms are lots of fat, but steak is a lot of protein.

No fire danger here. We have probably had close to 6 inches or more of rain in that last 4 days from the big storms. Everything is so wet here I could take a blow torch to the ground and not start a fire.
You think that’s a lot!! HA!
