The sunlight was hitting Bean's feathers just right to light them up purple and blue!
Kind of a grab and quick pull, maybe Snow had junk on themCould it have been grooming behavior or was she grabbing and holding?
Is that the new feeder Scrambles?Kind of a grab and quick pull, maybe Snow had junk on themhaven’t seen it again since I got home.
I lowered the feeder too and they seem to be tucking in a bit more, they have food available when ranging but maybe they couldn’t get enough in the run before being let out.
I’ve just watched Snow preening and Belle went behind her and starting grooming Snows butt, getting any little stuck bits off (not pecking at her vent or anything, but grabbing and twisting at the stuck bits in the fluff) so I think it maybe was grooming this morning. How sweet if that’s what it is, getting where Snow can’tCould it have been grooming behavior or was she grabbing and holding?
Yes it isIs that the new feeder Scrambles?
She is so cute! She sounds like she has hiccups.
Someone Fills in for BY Bob
I was out of town on Monday and needed someone to fill in for me and remove Phyllis from the nest. I thought right away of @CrazyChookChookLady but she is dealing with a new job and I knew it would be a long trip for her. I also knew she would do it any way and I knew I could not impose.
What other choices did I have?
We have been to encourage one other couple of our circle of friends to get chickens and so we thought of them. Now, just like here, the lady of the house wanted the chickens and it seems the husband had become responsible for them. He blisters to me everytime we see them about all the work we created for him. "She doesn't even collect eggs anymore!" I've always thought that his a soft side of him towards them.
Well as luck would have it, I was checking in on Phyllis as JD arrived to take her off the nest. Listen to the old softie talk to everyone!
I'm the opposite! I like things all higgledy piggledyYes it isthinking of getting the same size watered, I like things to match
