I only know 5 months worth of Turkey stuff and sorry to say but I got most of it off Google.. Got to much negative feedback in the turkey thread.

You might want to post your turkey stuff over on @Ribh thread. There is an experienced turkey keeper (rjohns) that follows her thread. Most all of us also read over there so we won't miss them. He is a good guy. I'm sure he could help you if needed

This is really sad . I have been with BYC since March and went straight to the turkey thread but just the few minutes I have spent here talking to you all I have gotten the most reactions and I have posted alot on the turkey thread and shared tons of my videos and never have gotten this much attention and friendly responses.
I did make enemies fast over there because I do things a bit different and the experienced experts didn't like that very much. I like it here much better.

If it makes you feel any better I raised my absolute sweetheart of a rooster wrong as well. Instead of a total hands off approach I babied him. But then, when I got him and his siblings at almost 3 weeks old I wasn't for sure which were pullets or cockerels at the time and I was raising them myself. I wanted friendly lap chickens, so I turned them all into friendly lap chickens. Even now if I'm raising chicks myself I want them used to me and see me as a source of affection and treats. I'm not going to start completely ignoring a chick and adopt a hands off policy once that chick makes it known its a boy.

You have a lot of cleverness. I sympathize and understand the difficulty, especially discovering things not planned for along the way! The deadline makes it less fun than it should be, just guessing. You did a good job! What about the ramp, or steps?

DH is replacing a window here in the old part of our house, where the original framing was done with rough cut and reclaimed hewn wood, so nothing is very square or the right thickness for modern standards in any direction. But there's no deadline except winter.

Yes I need a ramp or steps but I don't need them tomorrow thankfully. I will need them by the weekend though.
