My eggs exploded in my microwave
You need to make a pinhole in one end of the egg so the rapidly expanding gas can escape. The air heats (and expands) quicker/more than the shell. If you allow some of that rapidly expanding gas (air) to escape♨️, the pressure doesn't build up , hence no explosion! [Nothing quite like cleaning splattered egg guts off the micro, eh :sick?]

OK then altitude has nothing to do with why they don't hang here in the thick of winter. Maybe your more active farms help.
I thought that attitude was the most important part of any situation 🤔. Oh, you said “altitude “ that’s important too I guess. :old  🛩️

Super interesting! Seeing mouse urine from a distance? Very cool!

Maybe chickens can see the worm slime? You know how we see the shimmer from a snail trail?
Exactly, and can they see it because they see more light frequencies or because they have pretty detailed vision?

Short rant: I can’t figure out how to manage only one girlfriend at a time. :idunnoJaffar has eleven ladies and gets away with it! (I bet he maxed out every credit card he has, including his Diners Club card) I need to know his secrets!:th 45256DA3-0C7B-41F6-9B71-F8FD51242325.jpeg

My dad used to say to prick the flat end because that's where the air sac is. Did he have that wrong? Maybe it doesn't matter which end is pricked?

I once taught a friend to prick her eggs before boiling them and when she came back from an overseas holiday, she brought me an egg pricker! I've still got it somewhere. It looks like this.

How many regular visitors have you got currently cfonts?
Do you have any that live with you permentantly?
There's approximately 45 feral chickens that visit my yard on a daily basis. Around 10 of them (including Chickadee) choose to live in my backyard and roost in the trees. They are free to come and go as they please, but choose to call my backyard their home 💕 It's flattering to know that of all the places they could live, they choose to stay here.
