Beautiful pic!
Great photo!
I got several. The large Barred Owl humored me for several minutes. Such a specimen.

Those are amazing! Owls are cool.
Indeed they are. I believe this one was a female. She actually called out to me, I never would have seen her otherwise. I was locking up and she made this strange chittering sound at me from the tree. She wanted to know who I was. I walked straight under her and she didn’t fly away. She was beautiful. Her head would whip around at every crunch of a leaf under my foot.
Owls. :love

She was immense in size, which is another reason I believe she was female. (Girl owls are bigger.) She was perched in our twisted old cherry tree. What a sight to see.

Progress?

Phyllis and the Phyllistines were sited in the same vicinity today.

Flockservation

Here is something which I think will play out in favor of them eventually hanging out together. Phyllis has always been more active than my other chickens. There are many times when the tribe is content to lay in the sun or sit around digesting when Phyllis is up and active alone. This was one of those moments today. Phyllis wandered off from the tribe alone and encountered the other chickens who were also out and about being active. Perhaps their activity level will be a better match than Phyllis has with the group right now.
