I'm not panicked but I want confirmation that something untoward is not going on that I just don't understand and can't identify. I'm worried for her and since I now have access to a vet, why not put my worries to ease or find out what is happening.I think it’s great you’re going to bring her to the vet. I don’t like the looks of her feathers, either. However, my Bagheera did not molt until she was two years old and her feathers were looking quite ratty. Also, most of my hens drop some weight during molt. I guess my point is, I wouldn’t feel panicked, and I’m glad she’s seeing the vet just to be sure.
I missed it but that won't be the last time.I know that...how can you not love them?? They are all just cute & sweet and endearing each in their own individual ways.
I was just being a wise guy. (sorry, a bit of a warped sense of humor that doesn't always translate well 'on the page.')
Yes. I'd like to get Lilly some help if I can. It is undignified for the Queen to be mussing herself.Glad you are going to the vet. My only point about Diana is she doesn't drop them. They have been like that for months and months which is more like Sansa I think.
Anyway, do let us know what the vet's view is and hoping for the best for both of them.
Poor Lilly - so undignified.

Mentee is sometimes used in the US. As in Bridge is mentoring Flo.Apprentice? Trainee?![]()
& @micstrachan Me too, to a fault at times. Words matter!I’m with you there, I can be very literal.![]()
My non- engineer answer: Liquids make light behave differently. Also river or sea rocks or sea glass look different wet versus dry. Like with car headlight lenses, windshields, etc that get sandblasted over time, the wet fills in the little pocks & texture which refract light away and smooths it out. But also likely is that the egg bloom is a bit opaque when dry.Does anyone have any input on the color changing egg phenomenon?
Yes, I am too. Goes with the literal orientation I think. Icons lose me sometimes and I have to make wild guesses. I saw this POW by going to the house icon upper left and it's there in the "Featured Content". But it's not easy to find by a search. Like past POWs? I have no idea. But I do know BYC has a habit of hiding icons and links, some icons available at the top are not visible unless and until you hover your mouse over it.Okay, I know I'm technologically daft, but am I the only one who can't find POW? This is the second time I've searched for it and can't find it![]()
If you look under the forum "Pictures and Stories..." where this thread is located. There is a picture of the week thread where you can submit pictures and see the winners.Yes, I am too.
