Arizona update: she came out of hiding to eat (she’s really hungry and full on broody) she looks good, so I will leave her alone to do her broody thing. She’s standing right next to me at the moment. She’s got that broody clucking going on.

This is what I'm planning on doing when adding a secondary breed to my flock. I'm not sure on the compatibility of Easter eggers and Appenzellers, but there will only be two breeds with at least two members in each breed.

This is a solid plan. The difficulties I have is in keeping 2 alive. I wind up with singles.

Just cleaned the nest boxes. Jessica as in one, bailed while I worked on other end. Came back as I was adding fresh straw.
