There is a good amount of red in that comb for a molting hen. If she’s laying through mokt, that is hard work!

Not every day thank goodness. An egg with no shell the other day.
I wish she would stop.

It is cold and a bit raw out, but when the sun came out Diana chose to sit by my side.
She is such a dear. I am pleased to see she is getting new feathers around her head but there are still lots of naked patches. I also worry about her shell-less eggs and now I think she may be losing weight (though she eats all the time). She is next in line for a weighing.

Not sure about that broody, Arizona. She didn’t come out from the nest today. I’m not sure if the eggs are even fertile But I will wait it out I guess.

I did give her some of that cottage cheese and pineapple, with safflower seeds (not sure if she ate any)

^^the only pic I could find of the JGs and Jubilee. Back from when they were just babies.
