:hugs:hugsJust read the story of Mrs BY Bob's stroke. It sounds like an absolutely harrowing experience. I'm so glad that both of you are essentially okay. What a thing to go through as newly weds, and what a testament to both of you's love for each other.

At this house we have been catching mice one a week :barnie
There is no clear spot to block them from coming in, they seem to be coming in the garage door.

In better news we had a dry spell this morning and I was able to chill (literally) with the ladies for a bit.

Beautiful chickens!

It Had to Happen

I am surprised I was able to hold off as long as I could. Yes, @Shadrach I know they should not eat junk. I could not help myself nor wait any longer. I promise to not do it again, for maybe a week?

Another blast from the past:

Wow, what a good momma...she only had one tieeny tiny nibble...all the rest fo the time she kept bringing attention to the spaghetti for the littles. Amazing for her to forego ALL of it, My experieince is a hen will tidbit or pick it up and break it into smaller pieces for the chicks and let them eat...but then eat some at the end herself. I'm so impressed with Sydney!!!:love

I also loves watching Lucky race off with her find :love to eat it, while Ned ate it right there with momma.
:love

No way I won't be using that method either.

He's a clever lad thou I must say.

I wish he was my neighbour :)

I wonder if greasing the bowl would do the trick and leave peanut butter and a fish flake at the bottom
I suspect part of what makes that work is the fur gets slippery so they can't climb on each other or get enough traction for a jump from someone's back, even if they are able to climb aboard. Not sure if a greased bowl would provide enough for that. Are you going to test it out?

I know this is off 'chicken' topic, but was just reading about the huge amount of rain/snow (depending on latitude & altitude) parts of Cali got yesterday into today. Hope y'all are doing okay, @featherhead007 & @micstrachan! (and any one else out that :fl:hugs:flway)
And send it our way as it crosses the mountains!
