Do they know what it is? Bronchitis? Flu? prognosis?Still in the hospital. Not much of a change in my condition. I’m hoping for a better day tomorrow. Hospital food and service here is really lousy. But I’m managing and though lightheaded, I’m still breathing!
I 2nd that idea. To heal you need to be stress free, and worrying about your beloved friends is not stress free.Do they know what it is? Bronchitis? Flu? prognosis?
I think they should allow you to bring in Jaffarfor emotional support (and some male company!)
I pray for a speedy recovery. I also hope the spot is nothing to worry about.Still in the hospital. Not much of a change in my condition. I’m hoping for a better day tomorrow. Hospital food and service here is really lousy. But I’m managing and though lightheaded, I’m still breathing!
MarvelousHept thec pop closed until it started warming up. Kid opened and checked the water several times today. Got home before dark. Went out to see how they were. All inside. Ok, close coop. SILVER (not usually talkative but master of the EYE) looked straight at me and started chattering softly at me. No idea what she was saying.
Thanks for keeping the heat in
Thanks for sending the kid to keep the water going
Thanks for closing the door
Thanks for putting the scratch and mealy worms in the coop feeder today
Thanks for bringing in Thing and warming her.
(Wasn't winey/cranky, just tender soft conversation)

Fingers crossed that this works out for you!Ok it will not be 100% official until around lunch time tomorrow but, if she is in fact a hen, I have a new silkie on the way. 2 months ago my farrier mentioned he had a silkie he wanted to rehome and it is close to the same age as mine, just a tad older. He thought it was a hen but also being his first time having silkies he was not 100 percent sure. I wanted it but kindly declined as I thought I had the perfect 2 to 1 ratio. We all know how that turned out. He was back to re shoe the horses literally 2 days before Lil Bit crowed and mentioned the silkie again. Told him again mom would shoot me if I brought home another chicken. Well, Lil Bit crowed and had to be rehomed and I reached out to him. He is going to drop her *pray it really is a her* off at lunch in between clients. I really really need this to be a hen, with only Poppy left Branch has started to harass her and she needs another hen his size and hopefully ready for roo attentions to divert Branch's attractions. I have been searching, even going to the dreaded craigslist and there are just no silkie hens available within 3 hours of me. I pray I have pictures to post tomorrow of the new girl. All I know about her is it's a silkie and is brown.
I just realized I should have saved this for Monday. The Many Combs and Wattles of Fluffy Butt Acres
