So I've found a silkie breeder, who has all colors of silkies, nice ones I may add that has pullets available. Including both Buff and Red which I really want now. The downside, they are on the opposite end of the state, and according to google maps about 8 hours one way. As much as I want one I cannot justify driving 16 hours for 1 pullet dangit.

Yup, but same problem, opposite end of the state. I love, love, love where I live. But as far as chicken breeds I want, I'm just on the wrong end of the state. To be fair, in my area game fowl are the most sought after and most available chickens here. I have a game hen, and I have a love/hate relationship with her. She is hands down the best mother to chicks, but she is evil and has a poor attitude to people.

Sorry to hear that! Yep some of them are bat-crap-crazy! I have a horse like that .
