No sign of that yet.Is Hattie thinking of laying, too?
I bet they enjoyed it! My gals have been laying, I guest because they are housed within the barn and we have lighting in there for doing chores etc.I am also in Canada, it's -28C here this morning. I am lucky because my husband is retired and so he checks for eggs.
Until recently no one was laying, but Louise gifted us with an egg on Boxing Day and Clara joined in yesterday, so I now have two laying.
I have got a camera installed in my coop which helps to keep track of whether someone is occupying a nestbox.
The egg Louise laid froze because we were not expecting her to start laying again so soon. I should have been more on the ball because she had started squatting again. I cooked up that first frozen and cracked egg once it had melted and fed it back to the hens. They approved of that warm addition to their breakfast!
AwwwwBLU, was a Polish roo. (My avatar pic) rip BLU.
I had forgotten that. Adorable! I also forgot how 'leggy' those two are!BFTP:

RightAwwwwI need to check out these polish chickies.
Right now I have been collaborating with my mother on making a saddle for my silkie Fluffy, Pangoo is too rough on her and she is getting bald on her back. We shall see how saddling her up goes
It's got to be better than crazy young horses right???![]()
Yep no drama at all hahaha, just some squawking and wing flapping - darn those little silkie wings, the feathers are like cat-o-nine-tailsRight
What are you thinking? Polish are a crazy breed of chicken.(and insanity is contagious)Well @Bob, I checked out this polish chicken breed, and have to say looks like a very interesting breed, will have to check for any breeders in the area in the Spring.
I wouldn't say the burgers and pizzas are very countryI have always wondered, because I live in the country, does that mean everything I cook is “country cooking”?
(It’s an honest question)
