She was afraid of everything today. I've had to handle her twice and she was calm each time. I'm not sure how friendly she will be but my friend endorsed her as the friendliest of her tribe.

She had to be afraid on her first day. She'll be more confident tomorrow. And the day after and so on.

Strangely, the one pasta I had in Rome was not good

That's a long way to go for disappointing pasta.
Such a pity.

No offense, but when you go to Italy, please don’t order pasta, that should be the last thing on your list. You can get pasta anywhere. (Just a suggestion )
