Could a pigeon have snuck in somehow, that's very smallWHAT is this? Rocks-Anne was just now attempting to lay an egg. This was the result. She’s an older lady though. It does have a full hard shell. But kinda small!View attachment 2978045
Jess is in a nest box, Thing is out the other side of the olives, and Silver and Pear are teaching Storm about the value of the woodpileI meant a chicken photo for mentioning lasagna.
I am so happy that Chiquita and Poppy are getting on so well! It is fun to watch the chickens enjoy their 'freedom' when you first let them out to free range! (Must have been fun seeing Chiquita's zoomies!)I just spent over a hour outside with everyone. I let Chiquita and Poppy out to mingle but they pretty much stayed with Branch or to themselves. It warmed up today so about half the snow in my yard has melted and I made a observation. While they did eventually make their way to the melted patches Chiquita and Poppy clearly enjoyed and preferred to spend their time in the snow. The Cochin girls, gave me stink eye when they had to walk through it to get to a melted patch.
Chiquita mid zoomie in the snow, she ran around like crazy for a few minutes.

Branch who is not as much of a fan of the snow as the girls are eventually managed to lure them out into the sun.

Meanwhile, the big babies are still unimpressed with the white stuff.

Once they hit bare ground they did not leave.

Yup, a 'wind' or 'fart' egg. Remember, the elderly tend to fart more!WHAT is this? Rocks-Anne was just now attempting to lay an egg. This was the result. She’s an older lady though. It does have a full hard shell. But kinda small!View attachment 2978045
Surely not that small Bob maybe a fairy chicken but they don't exist, do they? The old fairy egg. It can happen as they age. I would not worry too much

Nope. Happens sometimes - mis-fire with the ovaries. Probably doesn't have a yolk. (sometimes they do, but most often not)Should I be Concerned?![]()

Oh, no!! Sounds like punksI have been vandalized! Last night someone or several, got into my yard and punctured my tires on the bird mobile (Lexus) why would anyone chance breaking into my yard? It’s gonna be costly to replace two tires.A sheriff report is filed, and I will talk to the insurance agent on Monday. Breakins and vandalism is increasing in this area. (The deputy warned me) I even padlocked the coop last night.
