You know, I think Bob and myself were in similar situations. Mrs. Bob wanted Polish, he initially resisted. My daughter Rosie wanted silkies from day 1, I resisted. In the end both Rosie and Mrs. Bob got their wishes and the chickens they wanted. In doing so both Bob and myself have fallen head over heels in love with the undesirable chickens.
You nailed it. Really it's all Phyllis' fault. She is so loveable. 😍 If she had been a jerk then things would be different.

Well maybe not. Aurora is a jerk and I still love her. ❤️

Mites are nasty. I have an issue with them now in the free range flock, probably came in with either the rescues or the local little birds that like to steal my chicken feed. The chicken trailer has too many nooks and crannies though and they can hide in the walls and I can’t burn the little buggers out. Ick when my new coop gets built it’s going to be torchable!
