Awww that's so wonderful 💖

You're their protector.

It seems that Hattie at least trusts me. 😁
Ok, so here’s a big “crazy chicken lady” statement. Call it social isolation, cabin fever, or whatever… but I talk to the animals a lot, perhaps a little too much. When I’m working on the house I’ll call to the goats in the barn, and get a “yes mom” answer back. Well, with the chickens (and especially while Sammy was stuck recovering from his morning squabble with Dean in the human coop) I’ve been “talking” chicken to the chickens… and they have been responding. I do the “whiorrrr” BBB predator call and they go for cover.

Couple of times this week, I've seen geese flying north. While we do have some winter here (thank you geothermal activity), I don't think I saw the same flock twice. Spring is ALMOST here....after Salt Slush and Fool's April.
Got em!

These aren’t “my” geese, they don’t trust me enough for a good photo. From today’s long goat walk, to make up for yesterday’s rain delay

Oh I am glad others chat up their pets haha, the horses are good at understanding me, and the chickies are really good!

And singing to all of the is good fun. I told my neighbour she needed to sing to her horses while tidy them, it helps keep them calm and listening, and keep her concentrating on the song instead of worrying if the horse was being naughty 😊

Of course the chickies just like the sound of the singing I think.

Still winter here, can't wait to get my new runs started. Might have to hire someone if I am out west. But I need to get it done! Of course I need the ground thawed first..... And snow gone.
