Me too! But it does remind me to get my generator out of mothballs and be prepared! (No chickens were harmed during this outage)

Oh Alex but electricity is so essential this day and age, I don't know one about u but here without power I do not have access to water.

It is amazing how much water 4 horses and 14 chickies drink even in the winter, summer even more so. Can you imagine not having power for 3 days, and livestock to water? Around here every farmer has a generator so they can get water to livestock.

And us hu-mons also need water and heat when cold, septic system.... I listen to my mum talk about when she was young in nfld, even as 'soon back' as 1965 they didn't have indoor plumbing and power....

Yes, sadly I have lots of experience with them. Once you know who it is, I personally would give calcium citrate plus D3 for a few days.

Yep similar here, maybe 18:30-ish...

I can't wait for summer when it still light at 10pm

I have worked in the far north fort McMurray and north... It's light till after midnight, gets light again at 4am

Of course been on the other end on winter.... Gets light at 09:00am and dark by 15:30!!

So DH is now not loving the idea of building a coop and run from scratch. Two of these might work to get us up and running quickly at the new place. Some modifications would be needed, if course.
