I love this pic!! She has very pretty wing feathers coming in....and the ATTITUDE showing in this pic...I just love it!!!:love:love (I own the runway...wait, not, I own YOU, human!)
It is one of my favorites. I will have to get a picture tomorrow of momma Chiquita. Now that she's has regrown some of her damaged feathers I noticed she has the same wing pattern going on. I'm praying that is a sign that Ezzie is indeed a pullet and that she ends up looking just like her momma.

And finally, the 3 Grannies. Supposed to be Cinnamon Queens, but I suspect EEs. They will also be 2 weeks old tuesday and are the smallest of the 7. I will not know what they really are until their adult feathering comes in and they lay the first eggs. They do look a little more red/orange in these pictures tonight.

I don't know that much about sexing chicks, but I wonder if they would all look so similar if they were Easter Eggers. I have two EEs and they looked totally different from each other as chicks.

I am not but it was crazy windy and in the 70s today. Spring time. 🤷‍♂️
Omg 70!!!! So jealous!!! But it was nice for here so cant complain and lost a lot of snow yay! Of course the paddocks are now showing all Horsey poop piles they have deposited over the winter.

The bugs will make short work of those once spring arrives.

That and the chickies hahah ewwwww!

So weird. Like a hurricane in the tropics. Hot. Like 68 F with 100% humidity and very strong winds. The air smelled like the tropics in a monsoon - but I am practically in New England. It was all very puzzling.
Same here, crazy weather. But not complaining as the chickens were able to get out for once...

I thought I would get some pictures of the chicks before I cleaned their butt fluff and had evil glares the rest of the night. Thankfully one really only needs cleaning and its not that bad.
First off is Ezzie who is now 2 weeks old. She is about to hit the stage where the silkie fuzz comes in and for a month will look like she should have a paper bag covering her head. Isn't she adorable though? Oh and no, I will not admit to having a favorite chick, but if I did well, its her.

Look at that facial expression “you’re gonna do what?”

Imagine landing a plane in those conditions? 🛩️
Only a big 747, landing at Heathrow 😁, I watched through the window as the wings flexed at touchdown and seemed to be only a foot off the ground - I was sitting on the 'wind' side so already tilted towards the ground 😲😲😲😲

Now I sit in an aisle seat so I don't see these things!!!! Hahaha
