Thank you. Both of these are a bit big. I have 3 different groups, so something that was maybe a quart - 1 for each group ...but it definitely gave me an idea of where to look/ Thank you!!!

Arizona is going to stay inside the coop with all the other chickens tonight. I’m hoping that I won’t find a dead redheaded pullet in the morning. She has to learn to stand her ground, she can’t stay in the house forever. (She’s actually larger than some of the Rocks) but always gets picked on. I say please be safe Arizona

@featherhead007 I suspect all will be fine overnight. She may not get the roost spot she wants, but though roost shenanigans seem brutal at times, usually no one gets hurt (other than maybe their pride)

This is my fifth attempt at coop integration with this bird. So far I haven’t heard anything furious, and no screaming either.

To be clear… the farm didn’t want him, and he would have gone to auction (often ends at the processing plant) BUT… his previous owner was the only person they could find to transport him. A lot of his “problematic” traits (in their minds) came from his gentle and social upbringing… so Sam kept him, and can’t comprehend why they didn’t like him. I’m not sure if he’s on Galiano Island or if Sam was going to bring him out to his larger herd (outside of Prince George?), so he’s probably got many good years still ahead of him with a farmer that appreciates him properly. That takes most of the sting out of him being shipped. I still miss him, but he most likely better off wherever he is now.

Herding ducks are only slightly easier than herding chickens but still a challenge for a single person. Thankfully Lety and I team up and can guide them easier. I don't even try to herd the chickens, too much aggravation. Lol

You know I find herding chickens ridiculously easy… it usually involves carrying a bucket, scoop, or anything really and walking within sight of them… I soon have a fairly tight formation of vicious little feathered minions at my command. (Some are even highly trained “attack chickens”like Hawk, Sammy, Dean, and my Bully girl)

And there won't be a bitter one among them - which is why you have to add flavor with the apple pips or almond essence. They are nice to snack on but very bland in baked goods without supplementing the flavor.
Bitter almonds are not allowed to be sold in the US. Outside the US they are used to make marzipan and I think even in the US almond extract or essence is made with bitter almonds (it can be sold once processed but not as raw bitter almond nuts).
And that is why, if you love almond flavor in baking you keep some apple pips on hand. Apricot and peach kernels work too.
And here is my off-topic tax payment.

Apple pips, peach and apricot kernels… hmmm I think you may be planning on murdering us all! unfortunately the amount of these you need to consume is just crazy

Rant::::: caution rant::::
I get phone calls all the time.
1. Student loans, I have none!
2. Pay off credit card dept. I don’t use credit cards!
3. Extra Medicare insurance. I am not on Medicare, and I don’t need any!
4. Amazon account is being charged for 1000$ , and I don’t have or want an Amazon account!
5. My cars extended warranty will expire soon. I don’t have such a thing as any extended warranty on my cars.
6. Need car insurance? No I already have a great rate on my cars, home, properties, Aircraft!
7. You have won a free trip to …… I never entered any contests to take me to….. !
Too many people want money from me, and I’m sick of it all!

Here it is “your SIN (social security number? I think is the American equivalent) is being used for illegal purposes and you will be arrested if you do not immediately…” or an “illegal package addressed to you has been held by border services and to avoid jail time” and of course all the banks I don’t use are constantly having problems with my non existent accounts, as is Netflix… I hope they don’t actually get people with these scams
