It must have been gut wrenching too then part with Maryanne especially as she seemed so affectionate with you. Poor girl has now lost everyone

Agreed!Always hard, isn't it, they leave a space in your heart that just can't be filled.
@rural mouse is right...take your time...and enjoy the new personalities if/when you do jump back in.
Yes, her family here just kept shrinking. She was always the healthy one of the bunch. The others struggled. It's funny, since we got them as tiny chicks and hand raised them, we joked that they probably had no idea that other chickens even existed. Now she gets to discover more of the chicken world.I'm so sorry you lost Mrs Howell.
Maryanne will settle in. I'm glad she'll have a larger chicken family to spend her time with.
Haha yep I usually check in at night (or is 2am morning?) so never sure if I should saying good morning or good night! Thanks. Yeah, fairly new, only been on the site about a week, this was the first thread I joined I think. I haven't been on for a day or two though as been really busy.
Edit: Had to look as I was curious, I signed up on March 3rd. Feels like I've been checking these posts for ages though! I think sometimes my posts get pushed back because of time difference though because I'm in England.

You're altogether too kind!I am sure everyone will agree you should check in regularly - you are an experienced chicken person and might have some wisdom for us less experienced![]()
