Straw will be going down too. I just ran out of energy. Had to get something down. Straw this weekend/next week along with setting up baby space so the hobbit girls, Sussex and Hector can get moved in. I don't want them in until the first at the earliest. Still have some snow storms ahead of us, but those shouldn't last long. that WAS the plan....now, I'm thinking wait until they've adjusted to the floor, turn it with a shovel just to break up some of the dirt a bit, then very light layer of straw.

Boys, spring, it happens… I’m glad no one was seriously hurt. That’s the best news. And count yourself lucky they aren’t white chickens! it always looks like a massacre when someone gets into a discussion with Sammy or Dean, Or my Bully Girl… even without a serious injury it looks just awful!

Yep. Got a couple of white ones but they know their place. Hormones kicking in. Checking with mama for an update because I leave for work well before daylight.

Hopefully this is a one and done and they have it all sorted. I'd hate for the fighting to continue.

We'll keep em away from each other for awhile. Neither of these two really go looking for a fight so a hen was probably involved, lol.

Figuring out what they're trying to tell you is always challenging. The noise is......someone's in my nest box and won't share (Cheetah stays out of those...mostly), where is everyone?, I don't like the wind, it torqued my feathers, there's a cat here (it's Castor, he lives here), there's a strange cat here (only one of the aforementioned things I need to deal with).

I've asked my friend to order spruce back chips for my girls this time. I think spruce should be good and will add a little straw ontop as kris is doing.
