The new girls ignore her, Lucy and Charlie alternately hang out with her and go and do their own thing.
So they are still spending time with her but not keeping watch. That's good. From my experience if they feel she is going to pass on they are going to stay with her. It does not tell you if she is uncomfortable or in pain but it does give some indication of her health.

Friday's Fluffy Butt

I'm sorry, I had this ready for yesterday and plain forgot.

Lilly Roosted Low

Last night Lilly roosted low. Sydney and Aurora roosted high. Sansa actually could not decide where to roost (I watched) and she wound up on the floor in front of the nesting boxes. That is not permitted. After full darkness I went out and put her on the roost by Lilly.

Why is it not permitted to sleep on the floor?

You may not sleep on the floor because it leads to sleeping in the nest boxes which leads to poo on the nest boxes which leads to messy eggs. I run a clean coop and wish to keep it that way.

I will go enter it now.

My question too.

Good answer! I can't argue with that..
I can envision, as she hears the back door open and footsteps heading towards the coop, her thinking " How did he know I was on the floor??"
