I never saw that exception 2 years ago as well. From my research, it seemed other countries have much easier import and export laws. The hold up would not be on the other countries end, it would be on the US customs side of things. It is ok if they are live animals going through quarantine, but to have the best chance at fertility I would ideally need the eggs to be laid 14 days or sooner. Personally for me if I can make it work, I like my eggs to be laid within 7 days.I will be checking as well. I will say that I never saw this exception.


Sometimes with bad breaks it’s really the best thing you can do for them, especially without access to good pain killers, much harder on us I think though. Hoppy only had a fracture, and after a solid couple months of daily rehab she lived a happy, and very hoppy, life for quite a long time (for an ISA of indeterminate age)
