She’s my oldest hen around six+ years old. And she’s my lovely lady.

She is getting to be an older lady then. Hopefully she is just slowing up a bit, old Penelope here sometimes does things that freak me out. Then she gets up and walks away ( Yee gads ).

It’s a bright sunny day and I won’t have her in the house for long. She hears Jaffar crowing for her.

But not so old she still doesn't want her man

Those of you who are following my thread in the emergencies forum will know that things are a bit touch and go with Bernadette.
Seeing this just before bed therefore really tugged at my heartstrings. She is trying to scratch with her bad leg!

I think Lulu is responsible for the big hole in the bedding. But whatever she found down there is obviously of interest to everyone.

I can’t see the video yet (Rural internet and I’m too far from the trailer) but I will check it out when I’m done working. Trying to use it is a good start.

I will save the pictures for tomorrow's Pony Sunday. Rosie had been riding Russ for a hour when she came and got me and wanted me to bring my camera. This is what they had been up to for the last 30 minutes. She wanted me to drag the garbage cans into a barrel pattern but I told her next time.

I can’t see the video yet (Rural internet and I’m too far from the trailer) but I will check it out when I’m done working. Trying to use it is a good start.

When you get internet can you look at the videos I posted over on the thread I made in the emergencies forum - it is where you posted asking for video - and I have put up a couple of videos that focus on her walking. This one on FBA is just cute because she is trying so hard to be like the others.

I have learned a lot about handling chicks through this - the T-shirt burrito didn't work, she wriggled out of it. BUT, I had a pocket from some jogger knit pants (like T-shirt material but a bit heavier) that I had ripped up for rags. The pocket was perfect - I put it over her head and wrapped it around her body. She looked a bit like a victim of kidnapping but it allowed me to strap on her boot.

I am totally fine doing it but also happy if someone else would prefer to.
It is 19 hours and I am not yet behind!

Girls and their horses I remember having fun days like that!!!

I was going to try for ride today but it was cold and windy, then started snowing a bit.... Hopefully tomorrow is a bit warmer.

well, we've only created 11 pages in 24 hours. Lets see.....11 pages per day x 14 days =154 pages/1540 posts. yup, seems about right! @BY Bob better have his reading glasses to hand when he lands!

I would like to see a pic of that, the new silkie I have is very wee but very skittish, I could use something to contain her sometimes.
