Ya I don't get the rationale regarding not liking the coloured eggs, people really have no idea where their food comes from!

Next it will be only have Hereford cattle for meat

I sometimes write the names of the hens who laid each egg so people have a connection to them.

Yesterday I wrote about Sophia laying lighter coloured eggs these days.

You can see how dark it is last fall, yesterday's egg was as light as Nellie's shown here (the post I am replying to).

Anyone have this happen?

In general egg color should not change but I have seen eggs fade over time. Patsy's and Lilly's both faded as they aged.

Yes , my brother is double-vaxxed and he was still quite sick with it. Imagine how much worse it would have been if he wasn’t!

Could have been fatal. The vaccine likely saved his life.

There have been many studies done over the years with Flu and other viruses and the fact men are affected worse than women overall. It has to do with the difference in how infection is dealt with by the bodies of men and women.

Who knew!? There actually is such a thing as the Man Flu

I thought Aurora deserved a coronation photo. She posed much more formally than Lilly did. I think that proper court etiquette will be more important under Aurora's rule. Lilly was much more casual on such things.

Update on the kitten. The mama was found and we successfully reunited the kitten with it's mama

Yep it was the only one so we are the mama. Even Lobo watches over it. A kitten minutes ago he heard it crying so he gently picked it up and brought it to my friend Jeff.

Here it 5 days quarantine from start of illnes if vax.

I think 2 weeks if not Vax. I told my aunt she could visit next week but my uncle couldn't . Told her best two years I ever had not sick once (likely due to no kids being here hahaha), I may never have kids visit again u til they turn 12... The age at which they stop picking their noses

We had a baby born this morning from a black cochin hen and it is a naked neck. I wonder if the father has a recessive gene.
