Here it 5 days quarantine from start of illnes if vax.

I think 2 weeks if not Vax. I told my aunt she could visit next week but my uncle couldn't . Told her best two years I ever had not sick once (likely due to no kids being here hahaha), I may never have kids visit again u til they turn 12... The age at which they stop picking their noses

Yesterday I wrote about Sophia laying lighter coloured eggs these days.

You can see how dark it is last fall, yesterday's egg was as light as Nellie's shown here (the post I am replying to).

Anyone have this happen?

Yes, it happens with my marans. When they first start up a laying cycle or even begin laying their eggs are super dark. As they progress and come to the end of the cycle or get older their eggs gradually lighten. It is perfectly normal.

I have accepted my lowly place in the pecking order.
I have accepted that I barely get enough eggs for my personal needs.
I have accepted that pecking my legs is regarded as normal behavior.
But I have finally been pushed over the edge. TICKS!
The one safe place on my property should surely be the Chicken Palace compound. But no! I got a tick while sitting inside the Chicken Palace itself.

Um, guinea fowl eat ticks.
We are hired for worms, grubs, and the occasional fly or moth, plus turning the top layer over in your garden to prep it for another growing season...ticks are disgusting and for the lower cast to manage...guinea fowl, we say!
