I have been making bread today, in between cleaning stalls, chasing hens and 'herding cats' from work... Weekends are catchup days for me. I had planned to mow the grass but surprise, it's raining again... Isn't there song about that?? By the Beatles I am sure.... I prefer 'Here comes the sun' haha

Oh and laundry... I need to wait n the lottery. Oh i am gonna try tempting the Fates : 'bet I won't win that lottery'....

Beetles eww. If we are to play a song about rain my personal favorite is "Have you ever seen the Rain" by Creedence Clearwater Revival. Only song of theirs I love and can listen to it over and over.

What about using geranium rose oil. I wonder if the plants work as well

I will give it a go as long as I can fine the variety of oil that works. Bound to smell better than other options!

This right here was one of a few that I would play and dance to with Rosie almost 14 years ago during the dark time that is known as colic. The longest 5 weeks of my life.

Herefords or Angus… to be clear my Lowland rant was specific to this farms goals, climate, and patterns of behaviour, nothing against other breeds. I mean, sheesh, if you want smaller cattle at least get heary coos! I would love to see highlands here… brushing a highland would be so relaxing… scritching between the pointy bits, brushing out the silky long cow fluff… it’s just they did the same thing with the sheep for the same reason the Rams are big and scary, let’s get smaller ones because that will be safer. Ten generations in of selecting for smaller rams “why are our lambs all so small now? They are 10kg lighter… it must be the pastures are all getting ate down by the goats and cows”. Nothing to do with the fact the parents are 1/3 smaller than twenty years ago. Of course like weight loss etc, the changes happen slowly and with animals you’re seeing constantly, so you don’t really notice it. And you only bother to monitor the weight and condition of the animals for slaughter… not the adults kept for breeding. Going to have to get some tax pictures today, aren’t I?

Your very welcome. When I was dealing with a screaming baby in the middle of the night and in tears myself this one and a few others got me through.
