Fluffy butt escape artists...

Chasing these three down is getting old. Tomorrow time to build a proper run...

There are many different types of M&M’s. Made in the factory in Hershey PA. (Right @BY Bob )?
Only seen the peanut and chocolate ones here... Got a stash in the barn in my horse feed bin. I hid it there out of sight out of mind - except two times a day when I dole out grain to the horses, then I also get a treat 😊

Rain Rain Go Away

As I said earlier today, it rained and rained today. Flood watches are up it rained so much.

I eventually left them out. 1 out of 5 hens had the good sense to remain indoors when it rained hard. The other 4, well watch the video.

Sydney sheds water pretty good. She walked around in her best wild turkey imitation with her tail pointed straight down. She held up pretty good. You can see the other 3 yourself.

One great thing about them being soaked is that you can actually see how small Betty is. As you can tell from this overhead photo, she is almost exactly the same size as Phyllis.

Well, don't many societies revere their elders as wise? Hattie is the eldest, now....so it stands to reason she is the wisest. Too bad the others don't learn from their elders!

Dear sweet Hattie... :love

Hey, what ever rewards you for all that work you do! :old Clever that you limit your intake of those addictive candies!:D

Sometimes it's: GET HER OUT OF MY NEST SITE!
I think since at times it could take her 30 minutes or longer to reach the box she was giving any hen in her box fair warning to hurry up. If a hen was found in her box she unmercifully evicted them. I have saw the boys attempt to escort her to the box, but she never picked up the pace and after a few minutes they gave up and went about their other rooster business. It is a lot more peaceful now that she is raising Effie. The downside of that is I miss her eggs. She rivaled Butter on laying the biggest eggs.
