These two would become house chickens if we let them, I reckon. Snowy has already taken on Jasper the cat and won!
Phyllis came in over the weekend and addressed my daughter's cat Toast. Toast left the area. 😆

Let's Table that Idea

I don't know what got into the girls today but 2 of them decided that some tables needed to be utilized.

First Betty....

I wonder what's up here?

I think I'll get up on the table and see what I can see. Is anyone looking?

Ok, no one is looking, up I go.

Everyone is leaving. I better hop down.

That's further down than I thought.

I can do this, geronimo!

That would have been easier if I had wing feathers!

Our second table topper is Hattie!

She saw me come out with a bag of corn to my chair under the magnolia tree. She decided that the best way to get her share was to jump up on the side table and get the corn with no interference from Aurora. It worked beautifully.

This is very exciting for me. The first step to Daisy jumping in my lap, was that same side table. Once she figured out she could get to eat alone by jumping in my lap it became her main way of getting snacks. Hattie is a bigger girl but maybe she is going to be my next lap chicken!

How very lovely! 🥰

It was dropped. I'm sorry. I tagged her on a post just for her and it didn't work. There is no point to doing it if it doesn't work.
No apologies needed on this - I understood something rational was the reason for no tags anymore, a prime one I recall was that it was a significant amount of work/time to tag, for starters, and it was hit and miss whether it would work.

I don’t think the tags are working anyway. I noticed I’ve been tagged a couple of times and I didn’t see a notification. Of course, I may have just missed it.

What is this Noise Aurora was Making?

This was going on over a week ago. She stopped making the noise, from what I have seen, after a couple of days. It was like 3 days she was doing this every so often.

Looks like a cough to me, to clear something, especially the way she shakes her neck and head.

I think that is a cough. Hopefully it is now gone. It really didn't sound like a crow attempt to me.

I have dairy ranchers surrounding my property, so I also know that in the heat of the summer……:sick
Sure. They all laugh when I mention a predicament, (but then, they secretly think my puns are annoying)
