Everyone wanted to be in that box. Wrold kicked the Japs out & was determined to be rid of a Vorwerk too!At first I thought they might be fighting over an egg but there was no egg. Were they just fighting over the corner of the box? Wow! That's crazy!
It's exhausting with all the worryingAwww. Thanks for asking. It has been a crazy day.
No news really. Minnie was a bit perkier this morning and at the vet looked the picture of health apart from the lime green diarrhea she deposited on the vet’s table.
Back home she was also a bit better but then got tired and is now back in the hospital ward looking like death partially warmed up.
I do know she got some fluids as she is drinking Gatorade on her own and that has sugar too.
The vet took lots of poo samples and is sending them off and also consulting other vets. So it is wait and see.
Poor little Minnie she just looks completely done in right now.

So you think they might be going broody??I’m losing touch with my chooks. Lately, they haven’t wanted to eat the meally worms. Only Dakota and Rocks-Anne wanted to be picked up and held. Jaffar seems to be predisposed with the ladies and no time for me. Tomorrow morning, they won’t be happy with me (I’m out of steak
) nothing I can do about it either.

My silkie has turned into a savage beast! Everyone is giving her a huge wide space!!Everyone wanted to be in that box. Wrold kicked the Japs out & was determined to be rid of a Vorwerk too!Olivia wanted in but was sensibly wary of Wrold. She's nuts when she's broody.
Some hens are covert beserkers. My silkie has turned into a savage beast! Everyone is giving her a huge wide space!!
Oh I am hoping it's something they can find and treat. Did they give her any antibiotics or steroids to help her feel more perky?Awww. Thanks for asking. It has been a crazy day.

Can you put Dotty in there (hospital ward) with her at night? It might make them both feel better. There may be something in that. She wasn’t happy that Minnie was not with her on the roost and went to visit several times before the babies got up there.
It's a dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde with her. She is really a sweetie pie usually. But now she is bat-crap-crazy!!Some hens are covert beserkers.![]()
I've written this before in here. My friend had a cat moved in on her then she suddenly after many years was a bit off colour, the vet said it was her heart and insisted she needed steroids, the cat died within hours of taking themI had a similar "discussion" with my Vet. She wanted to do all these tests on my elderly cat said it was necessary, I told her that no they weren't.
I learnt that just because the vets have all these fancy test and equipment doesn't mean my animals are living any longer or healthy. All that was happening was that vet care was more expensive and I was not likely to bring my animals in for care which thus would shorten their lives and make them less healthy...
I told her once my kitty was gone I would not get any further pets because of the outrageous vet costs...
Of course then I got Missy dropped on my desk in Manitoba hahaha.... 12 chickens....
