The mosquitoes are enough to eat you alive here. The horses have been tearing around, guess I better get the bug dope out for tomorrow....

Too bad chickens don't eat mosquitoes haha!
Are you saying that your slacker chickens don't eat ants OR mosquitoes?! Mine eat both! And blackflies!

Mine turn their beaks up at lettuce, but love their insects!

Back from town (they didn’t have any soldier fly larvae) I bought a few ears of corn 🌽 instead. :( Tomorrow, my church friend has some, that he gets for the chickens. He has easier access to the store than I do. (He lives in town) it’s very nice, that he shops for my pets.
Follow up: they got their worms today. (Acting like they haven’t eaten in a week) dog gone T-Rexes, almost bit my fingers off!

My wee raptors go for snakes and mice!

Have a barn full of swallows now, they take care of the horse flies. It always amazes me when they shove a dragon fly down the throat of their babies 🤗

I hope non fall out of the nest, it will be dinner for Buttercup 😲

Very helpful. I ended up with Diana on the counter with me crouched over her so I body-blocked her reverse and somehow I saw enough of her throat to go ahead.
I think with more confidence I wouldn’t feel the need to visualize quite so much - as long as I am well to the side and insert the syringe far down I think I am in the right place. But as a first timer I was nervous as hell.
I expect I will need your burrito approach on Dotty tonight.
RC do you remember when Peggy had her operation and I needed to give her liquid antibiotics? I put the dose on cheese and she ate up every drop. @Shadrach gave me that tip and he used small pieces of bread when dosing liquids.

I do remember that. It felt like too much liquid for that to work. But maybe I should have tried. Do you remember the volume you were dealing with?
